To celebrate the epic milestone of 10 million sales of the popular Arduino UNO board, the company recently launched the limited edition of UNO: Arduino UNO Mini.

The new board is unique, with premium materials, quality finishing, elegant design, and packaging. Just like the original UNO boards, it features 14 digital inputs/outputs (six of which can be used as PWM outputs), six analog inputs, a 16MHz ceramic resonator, a USB-C connector, and a reset button.

The new UNO board is called Mini because of its size, which is exactly half the size of the original UNO board. The original Arduino UNO board measures 68.6 mm X 53.4mm. Whereas the new UNO mini measures 34.2 mm in length and 27.6 mm in width.

First of all, the new Arduino UNO Mini has the same specs, same processor(Atmega328p at 16 MHz), pinout, and performance that made the UNO so popular. But there are a couple of cool changes you’ll love.

The Arduino UNO Mini limited edition comes with an upgrade, the Type C USB port! Yes, the new board has a Type C port due to the worldwide adoption of Type C USB.

It does not have a barrel plug connector like the original ones for the external power supply. Instead of this, for connecting external power supplies there are two pins available: VIN and GND. You may connect any battery to these two pins for a standalone circuit. The Voltage limit for these pins is 6-21V.

The New board has a slick black and gold design as compared to the familiar green color solder mask of the UNO board. The board has an elegant design and packaging. If your want to add a unique and freakishly stylish Arduino board to your arsenal then this is your first and last chance to buy Arduino UNO Mini limited edition.

The female header pins of this new board are half the pitch of the original Arduino UNO (due to its small size).

Apart from this, Each Arduino UNO Mini is unique and has a number on the PCB. You will also get a hand-signed letter from the founders.

What makes the new Arduino UNO Mini unique is its form factor. The original UNO R3 is of the same size as its predecessors, dating back to the original design. But the new UNO Mini Limited Edition is a quarter of the size( or 1/4th) of the original board, measuring 34.2mm x 26.7mm x 8mm.

The weight of the UNO mini is 8.05 g, almost three times smaller than the original UNO REV 3 bord whose weight is 25 g.
